Book/Video Club

There will not be training held at the dojo. Class may be held at Rising Star and/or Sarpy Aikido during those days.

Each Aikido Hawaii International dojo in the area has been invited to perform a demonstration for the general public. Demo is free to public.

Thanksgiving Donations to Field Club Elementary
Thank you to all of the students who donated money or food goods to serve families at Field Club Elementary school where Paula teaches. We raised $140, a 12 pound turkey and 8 cans of soup. It is a great cause to help families get together to celebrate the holiday.
Trunk or Treat - October 25, 2008

Kubo Shihan and Tango Sensei Surprise Visit - August 12th, 2008
We were surprised and honored to have Shihan visit our humble club during his stay in Omaha for the Aikido Hawaii International August Seminar. All of the students expressed their gratitude. Please see the web album link on the pictures page for captured memories.
15 Days of Pain - August 2008
Thanks again to everyone crazy enough to come out and celebrate aikido with 15 days of early morning practice. We had an excellent turnout this year! Special kudos to Ryan for making it the entire 15. It isn't easy.
Aikido Omaha Childrens Book Drive - July 2008
Our students did a wonderful job collecting one hundred books during May and June for donation to the Child Saving Institute. Thank you to everyone for their help with this great cause to get books to those families who have to choose between food/gas and books for their children.
Aikido of Hawaii International Seminar Featuring Robert Kubo Shihan - August 13-16, 2008

AHI Fees Due in November
Please keep in mind that your yearly AHI dues are due in November. It
seems strange to think about it this early in the season but it will
be here before you know it. Every student needs to pay these dues
once per year. The money goes to Aikido of Hawaii International.
Dues were $35 for mudansha (kyu ranks) and $46 for yudansha (black
belts) last year so you can use that as an estimate for this year.
I'll let you know as soon as I can if that number has changed for this
year.
Camelot Closed for One Week In September
Camelot Community Center is closed for cost savings. All of the
Omaha rec centers close two times for a week each. Camelot already
closed the first week of the year. It closes for the second time in
the first week in September (Sunday, August 31 - Sunday September
7th). We will hold class during this period at Rising Star (9/2),
Sarpy Aikido (9/4) and outside at Camelot (9/6).
